Hampshire Senior Cup Final

Congratulations to Lee, Shaun and the Hawks’ first team for a fantastic win against Winchester City to lift the Hampshire Senior Cup for the first time in the club’s  history.

Of course, the Many Shades were there in numbers. Many thanks to Matt the Manager for organising the coach and pre-trip sustenance at the Westleigh.

And we’re off. Thankfully, Matt had the foresight to hire an executive coach with on-board WC facilities. Incredibly, bearing in mind the passengers’ average age and the fact they’d been in the bar since 4pm, we made it to the A27 before Martin asked the driver for the key to the aforementioned facilities.

Spoiler alert
The St Marys scoreboard prior to kick off lists the players soon to become Hawks legends.

The teams line up for the pre-match presentations. To everyone’s surprise, local celebrity Dave Hall had been overlooked when the dignitaries where selected.

Matt the Manager put on his best shoes for the occasion and was determined to get in the celebration photos.

Walking Football is always open to innovation and the Mountbatten Centre used the Spring Festival to launch their invisible chair. Ideal for anyone needing a breather mid-match.

Despite a slight weight disadvantage, John is still a match for the Mountbatten Centre’s midfield dynamo.
